"ONWARD AND OUT"
DECEMBER 13TH, 2019 - JANUARY 4TH, 2020
Seven artists from all separate disciplines come together to participate in our first show featuring all Korean artists, located in Seoul. Curated by Wu Seungmin, the shows name "Onward and Out" speaks on the progress and evolution of art amongst Korea's younger generation of multi-medium artists.
Accompanying the art, the opening of the exhibition featured a live painting installation by veteran artist San Jung - who practices in the traditional medium of 혁필화 - which is a painting practice that dates back to 18th Centruy, Korea. The installation's objective was to bridge the gap between the older generation of Korean art and the younger artists who were featured in the exhibition.
The show's main artists included popular Seoul based designer Okeh, painter and illustrator Bird Pit, ceramic craftsmandYu Seung Heon from the art collective Quispiam Habilis and Lee Yunho, a photographer who works with printing his work on unique mediums of fabric and tapestry.
"Onward and Out" will be on view through January 4th, 2019.
